Default Track prepped Rotrex Supercharged Miata

Posting this for a friend, I AM NOT THE SELLER. I was curious how much the parts might add up to so I added them in blue.

Contact Tony at TC Designs for more info or to see the car
(408) 956-1526253 Houret Drive
Milpitas, CA 95035

Super fast 94 Miata. About 1960 lbs w/o driver. 220whp with current conservative tune. Race ready for STU, ITE, Miata Challenge Unlimited or just a freaky fast HPDE car. Running 1:54's at Thunderhill with Crows Nest (yikes!)

Car is not being parted out as far as I know.

Engine
  • Kraftwerks C30-74 intercooled rotrex supercharger system$3600
  • Wideband O2 $200
  • Megasquirt PnP ECU $700
  • 1000cc injector Dynamics for e85 or 550cc injectors for race gas $490
  • M-Tuned coolant re-route $320
  • 2.5" exhaust $600
  • 55mm aluminum radiator $350
  • Oil cooler $300
Interior / Safety
  • Full TC Designs cage $3000
  • Window Net $100
  • Center net $125
  • Quick Release steering hub $200
  • Momo wheel $175
  • Fuel cell $600
  • AIM pista MXL $2000
  • Master cut-off switch
  • Fire Extinguisher
Drivetrain
  • OS Giken diff $1500
  • 6 speed $650
  • 5.5" twin plate clutch and steel flywheel $1500
Aero - Exterior
  • Carbon hood $500
  • Autokonexion fastback top $2200
  • Custom front splitter
  • 996 rear wing element
Suspension
  • 2 sets of 15x9 6UL wheels $1500
  • 225/45/15 Hankook Z214 with a heat cycle or two left in them
  • Koni race shocks $800
  • Carbotech brakes $300
  • Braided steel brake lines
Lots of other details in the prep not listed. Just a few tuning tweaks away from 300whp. Tony builds race cars for a living so this car is not your typical tossed together backyard special. Over $25K in parts alone. New opportunity came along and they need the cash. $15K + depending on which extras you opt for.

If the OGK wasn't about 75% done, I'd buy it myself!

Sounds like a great deal!
He's asking ~$15k + depending on options, per Emilio's post.

!

Its basically what a lot of people were specing for the 'car of their dreams thread. Except that you get it for a bit more than a low mileage stock MSM.

GLWS, awesome car/deal.

Yes it is forsale, I will not part it out. I don't have to sell it, something interesting came up and if I can sell it would allow me to jump on the deal. You can see it tearing up Buttonwillow the 5-6th and again the weekend of the 19-20th.

TC Designs sounds so familiar. Do you mess with a Genesis Coupe? I swear I've seen you post on gencoupe.com.

He did my cage, and probably 90% + cages in miatas around our area. Stand up guy, if i ever had any business needs i would take it to him without a hitch.

SOLD

I struck a deal with Tony and now own the car. He did some great upgrades over the winter. I am in the process of finishing things up. The car now sports a 99 head, skunk2 intake, Autokonexion GT Widebody and 275 R6 Hoosiers.

Here are some pictures of what it looks like today.

Dean Thomas wheeled the car around Thunderhill last month and turned a best lap of 1:54.6 over the crows nest on 245/580/15 R80 Hoosiers on 9"6UL's. On another lap he was 1 second ahead of the 1:54 lap till he ran into traffic. He had to short shift out of turn 15 due to sound (107db) and we were only able to get 2.5 degrees of camber on the front and 2.0 on the rear. With a better alignment, new muffler, 10" wheels and some more seat time he is thinking very low 1:50's.
