Default Speed Ventures Trophy Race at Infineon March 5-6

If you want to run this short wheel to wheel race, you must register before Wednesday Feb 2nd at 6PM

Speed Ventures is offering a short Trophy Race each day. Rolling formation start, 20-25 minutes for $50 (in addition to regular track day price). Two classes. Mod and Unlimited. We decide what class you're in when we take a look at your car
Qualifying will be informal, no prep rules, tech or impound. Just the normal SV safety tech. Open to any caged car with current safety equipment. Expect cars (mostly super fast Miatas) capable of being 2-10 sec under the Spec Miata record there. Etiquette is "13/13". Otherwise known as Gentleman's rules. Absolutely no contact. Contact Aaron at Speed Ventures for waiver if you do not hold a current Speed Ventures / NASA/ SCCA/ BMWCCA / POC / PCA comp license. Trophies for first three across the line.

We have until about tomorrow night to get enough entries to hold onto the time slot. Otherwise, red group will overflow and there will be no room for the Trophy Race.

If you go to this event with a caged car and don't sign up for the trophy race, I will skip my last Red session to sit in your passenger seat and belittle you as you drive around the track until you cry for your mommy.

..and I'll wait in the pits for you with a "I'm afraid" sticker for the car.

BTW

Trophy race is open both days. So if you suck Saturday, you can Vindicate! Sunday (or suck again, your choice)

...And now I wish I had time to go to this event, as well as a car prepared.

Wish my car could be ready for the event but I'm thinking it wont be. :-(
I'll try renting another beast.

I may be in for this. I just need to make sure that I dont need an engine when I get home, I was having a hard time with the car at buttonwillow. If not I would gladly accept sav sitting in my pass seat belittling me. will the lap times count toward the MC?

Ha ha no, anytime I would make over 10lbs of boost my car would start sputtering and backfiring, and was defiantly running leaner than it should have been.

Yup sounds right. Also check all of your IC piping and vacuum lines for a leak.

Yup that's first on my list of things to check, I'm still in socal right now visiting in laws, Ill have to check it out when I get home, My father in law was there and told me that he saw a lot of smoke coming from the car and that he could smell oil when I would leave the paddock. I didn't seem to lose any oil though but I am going to do a compresion and leak down just incase.
