Skid plate for front facia.
What about using 1/8th inch plexiglass for a skid plate for the front fascia?
If it breaks it is cheap to replace. And it should be plyable enough to work.
Whatcha think?

I'll be using an 1/8th inch aluminum plate with braces welded to it in the front portion.
Some of us live out in the back woods where dirt driveways are the norm. Before pulling out of the garage/barn, I have to use the plow to even out the ground enough that the car doesn't get stuck. It also keeps the dirt from coming up from the roadway when you have ducting positioned properly in the hood

If you are talking about a splitter, which is not a skid plate, it's been well documented what guys successfully use for splitter materials. Most of the track guys are using plywood. A few use ABS. A bit more expensive, but even nicer, is alumalite - I know this is what Bellwilliam's splitter is made with, and I made mine from this.
If you are looking for something to make an actual skidplate, like something to protect chassis parts from potentially bottoming out, here:

the Jabroc skid plate is the material DIY racers use.
