Serious question here. At what spring-rate would the OEM control-arm start to flex before the spring compresses effectively?
Everything flexes all the time. Question is how much does that effect stability and mechanical grip. OGK will not have any OEM brake, suspension or subframe components. Most of the bits are already in our shop.
I've looked at blade sway bars a bit.
Cockpit adjustment is great for a car that races W2W since you can adapt to the changes in the tires during the race but for a time attack car I'd imagine it's additional weight that isn't really all that beneficial.
There are a couple of sway bars related ideas that have been marinating in my head for 2-3 years now, this is probably the time to execute
More cool videos are coming out. Time attack needs more high profile media outlets with huge audiences to put the events in front of people so it can continue to grow so I'm glad these guys are having fun out there.
Also they have a clip of me in there getting some air at Phil Hill at 11:25. I honestly thought all my wheels were staying on the ground the whole time there because of how smooth it floated over the crest, guess not haha.
The Super Street coverage of the event had a bunch of really good shots of Creampuff too
And this next one was my favorite photo of Creampuff from the event, with the car loaded to the point that the flat bottom scrapes on the track and there's a faint line of daylight under the front tire -
But then came this morning, and Yia Lor managed to dig this gem from SLB.
Holy sheep this is a great shot!
That last shot is pretty damn good. He had to have a longer exposure to grab that light on the right, but still managed to keep your car from turning into a blur. Good depth of field at the foreground and nice rules of 3 going on too. Impressive shot..... adding to desktop collection

He superimposed backgrounds onto a bunch of his shots, that image is altered.
Another pic from the SuperStreet SLB article. This one is my favorite.
It's amazing to see the outside tires loaded that hard and still have the suspension not fully compressed. You must be running some big boy springs and sway bars!

Only 1100/500 with 54106/14mm bars for SLB 2017. Never bottomed anywhere but pitched and rolled too much. Lost aero and camber. Later tried 1400/600 and the car was better on A7's but too much front spring for RC-1's. Switched to 1200/600 for S1 on 245 RC-1's, same bars.

I am amazed both of those tires take that much spring. I bet down force plays a big role.
Thanks for sharing! Sure puts things in perspective as I move in that direction.
