Roll bars
#5
I was willing to give up my soft top, so I took out my old roll bar and had a local fabricator put in the back half of one of his standard cages. Cost was on-par or cheaper than a roll bar (with shipping), it took them about a day and I didn’t have to do anything but strip the interior. It’s welded in, well-designed, and nothing was sacrificed for streetability.
Something to consider if you know you’re headed down the race car rabbit hole.
Edited to add: before you go for a double-hoop (sometimes called “cobra style”), be sure to check your organizing body’s rules, as they may not be accepted.

i ordered a hard dog hardcore m2 hardtop, its a mouthful haha, im afraid of the bar shifting since the holes might have to be slotted, but after contacting Tom from bethania (fabricator for hard dog) he said it will be fine, since the bar relies on the clamping of the backing plates and the roll bar, sorry for the bad communication, its my first time making an account here.
