Non-BTM or modified resonator(s) or muffler(s) only (no exhaust piping modifications)

Above it the TT rules for exhaust
Non-BTM or modified resonator(s) or muffler(s) only (no exhaust piping modifications)+1 point
So if I wanted to delete the rear muffler and resonator but keep the stock exhaust sizing with the factor cat this would be acceptable?

It's easier now, assuming you take the full 5 points or even the 3 point exhaust options, as then piping modifications are allowed. However, it's still confusing if you try to take just the 1 point for just the muffler/resonators. For example, our stock mufflers bolt on with a flange, but there is also a short piece of piping between the flange and the muffler, and also the tailpipe. Do we have to take the two extra points if we just unbolt the muffler at the flange? Technically per the rules wording, yes, it's just that a competitor would have to be a total jerk to protest for that. We'd otherwise have to cut open the stock muffler, modify the internals to be low restriction, then reassemble - thus still utilizing the stock inlet and tailpipe piping sections. Ugh.
I'd just email Greg if I were you. Let us know what you find out!
Rules for reference:
Code:
22)22) Modification, porting, or replacement of the BMT exhaust manifold or header(s) (includes any/all other exhaust and catalytic converter modifications) +5 23) Any modification to the BTM exhaust piping and/or catalytic converter (includes muffler modification or replacement) +3 24) Non-BTM or modified resonator(s) or muffler(s) only (no exhaust piping modifications) +1
