The new marrad miata seats w/sliders
Has anyone sat in or used these yet? They seem win to me. No tunnel bashing, sliders (mandatory for me so Ms Mobius can drive the car), and a seat height on the sliders not much higher than directly on the floor.
Being offered by Goodwin Racing here. No certifications of any kind, so useless for those that need such things, but looks good for average track joes like me.
Anyone have any feedback on them?

Entry level halo seat money for a un-cert'd basic seat? Sign me up!
I'm a bit curious about their slider setup though. I need to get my seat on a slider for the Mrs to be able to drive properly and still be basically on the floor for her head to be under the bar.
Even then, too expensive. I got a pair of new Momo Starts for like $670 shipped. And they come with the FIA label that makes them usable.

The big advantage that I see with them is that they are more streetable and easier to use with the factory belts than most certified seats. As for the Lotus seats, if you can find them they're nearly the same price.
That said, I'd rather get a Sprint V or similar and swap seats if I needed to for street use.

My challenge is finding seats that accept harnesses, seat me lower than my current foamectomied stock seat, and that have sliders so Ms Mobius can drive the car. That's a must. I'm 6'2, she's 5'7. I am willing to swap seats and hook up the harnesses for the driving season, but not on a per-event basis. This rules out most all aluminum seats, as far as I can tell, due to the requirement for the brace.
The finished seat in the pictures is of one of the manufacturer's C5/C6 vette seats, upon which this seat appears to be based. So to address a couple of points some posters have missed - a) they do/will have the hole for the sub straps. Read the text. b) the actual seat has more aggressive bolstering than the one pictured (examine the shell in the car). c) the price is expensive, but included in the $900 are the sliders and the mounts. The seat itself is $700. d) Elise seats have pretty weak side bolstering, IMO, and are no cheaper.
I'm 6'2 with a 34" inseam. Is there anyone of similar size or taller with an adjustable race seat? That works with door bars?

I have Cobra Clubmans for play time. They fit with my fat 36" wasteline tightly, but used to fit great when I wasn't such a lardo and had a 32" wasteline. They have sliders under them and sit lower then the stock foam gutted seats. The slider did require 4 holes in the floor to be drilled though since they aren't the stockers.
I pulled them out after breaking it off with my autocross loving ex and bolted the C5 sport seats to the floor.
