NB: Removing Quarter Light and Weather Seals
Apologies if this has been covered, but I couldn't come up with search terms that yield results.
I'll be caging my NB soon, which means the quarter light frame (black bar) and part of door frame will be cut off.
All the weather sealing will therefore come off the doors, but on the body, I'm less sure how to approach it. It appears to be one piece from the leading edge of the door opening, up the A-pillar, across the windshield frame, and back down the other side. All I need to keep is the seal between the hardtop and the windshield frame.
How does that rubber attach? Do I just pop it loose and cut it at the hardtop? If I do that, will it stay anchored when the top is off?
Anyone who has pics, I'd really appreciate them.
Thanks!
