In preparation for my turbo build i bought a cheap oil catch can on eBay. Expectations were low, and fulfilled upon delivery. The plastic stench from the useless hose would render anyone infertile if exposed to over a sustained period of time. It went right into the bin.
the can itself was clearly designed by someone who didn't have a clue how a CC works. It was simply empty.
so I got some clear tubing (OD 11mm, ID 8mm) to press and glue into the ID 10mm fitting. A slash cut and additional holes let the oil fumes escape.
I cut a separator plate from an old speaker grill and made a hole so I could slip it over the vent tube. It keeps the stainless steel scouring pads from dropping to the bottom.
reassemble and the can is ready to go!(I did add copper washers for the fun of it)
The ID of those fittings will come up short when you add boost. 1/2" or -8 at minimum for a low boost setup with good piston rings. Look into the " tiny hole mod" too.
