Default Aug 2011 wins and lap records for Team 949 Racing

NASA enduro and sprint races at Thunderhil Raceway - Willows, CA
August 13-14, 2011
CCW with bypass

E2 class in enduros (1HR Saturday, 2HR Sunday)
PTD class in the sprint race
PTD lap record 2:07.6
E2 lap record (we think) 2:03.1

Drivers: William Chen, Emilio Cervantes

Closely fought battle with Mansour Racing in their E30 M3 throughout the enduros. We were a tad slower on Saturday, tweaked the alignment and were faster than them on Sunday. The biggest gap over them was gained by our stellar pit crew which nailed 35 second pit stops both days. We pretty much won the race in the pits. Awesome team work and a great weekend. We are just about ready for the 25 hours of Thunderhill.

Shout out to rookie driver Sonny Watanasirisuk of Team 2ndchanceroadster.com for a solid performance all weekend and their win in Sunday's enduro.

L-R: Vanna Ngo, Sonny Watanasirisuk, William Chen, Murat, John Wing

Just repainted the car. Cheap paint job but it looks great 50/50.

I had been bugging William to name the car. I usually name all the cars but couldn't come up with anything I liked. The paint scheme was inspired by a Ferrari 599.
I came up with Fred (Ferrari RED)
John came up with Fauxrarri
William came up with Enzo.

Enzo its is!

Does Enzo bark twice if it wants to go faster?

Dunno. Maybe William will reply. It's something he found. Possibly and ebay mystery hood.

When I saw the track pics my first thought was the car looks like a$$. Put together from too many other parts. Scroll down and see it's painted now! Cheap 50/50 paint jobs are perfect for race cars. It looks great!!!

I'm guessing the APR wing and 949 front spoiler weren't class legal. You have any pics showing what you did in the back with the spoiler it's currently running?

I'm also curious to see a closer pic of that rear spoiler, looks like a smaller version of the one I made recently.

I didn\'t look it up but I know it was a common hood. Let\'s try this again...

Isn\'t that the autokenxxixoooixoxxoxxnnnxxzzzn hood?

I know I argued with whomever did it to remove the stupid gills.

Congrats on the win/records! Sharp car with the paint

Does not look like autokenxxixoooixoxxoxxnnnxxzzzn offers a hood for the NB, try again Brain
I'm wondering about the hood as well. A friend of mine is rebuilding an NB and needs a hood. I assume the extractor vent is functional? OTS functional extractor hood would be a nice find for the NB, keeps the pucker-factor down when cutting up a stocker.

bought the hood from miataroadster ~4 years ago. they don't sell them any more.

as for spoiler, it was bought from someone who bought off Moti's (Blackbirt Fabworx) old NA trunk.
