$500 data acquisition

Hi guys,
Just caught this thread and thought I would answer any questions about our Lap timers and such. Most don’t realize I am a long time member here.
In reference to Video, we do offer the video overlay software for free. We can also sample any OBDII data and include it in the data and analyst software. You can see the Video integration here:

I kept the gauges simple, but you can add more information, format the numbers and/or use gauges instead. (sorry, it's not in the Miata)
Basically we offer almost all the functionality of a traqmate at 1/2 the price. We are new so not many know about us......YET!
Something we do offer that I don't believe anyone else is real time feedback. You can set not only a start/finish line (together OR separate), but you can also set segments or traps within the track/course. Once these are set when you run the display shows how you are doing on the lap AND the segment. If you are doing better it shows green, worse it shows red. No need to try to read a set of numbers while driving.
We also allow you to review the data on the unit, not just the PC so you don’t have to wait until you download to see what’s happening. Our systems include the display and all components so there isn’t the whole ala-cart pricing you see elsewhere. Hopefully by December our 5 and 15 channel analog data logger will be ready. It will sample at 20hz and 100hz depending on which unit you get.
If you want to see a demo of the Lap timer you can check out the quick video I made here:

And please let me know if you have any questions

is mike on the forums? iirc he uses aiptek camera with performance box data aq (http://www.performancebox.co.uk). he hacked http://code.google.com/p/trackvideo/ for the video overlay. pretty cool.
ps: looks like it retails for 500 and has 10hz gps
EDIT: changed to newer video

So I plan on running Trackmaster (Trackaroo) on my Android phone coupled with a QStarz bluetooth GPS at TWS in a couple of weeks. There are a couple of cool updates to Trackmaster, since the last time I used it, that are pertinent to this discussion.
1. It now can use an external bluetooth GPS at 5 Hz. Before it could only do 1 Hz.
2. It can now export data in a format that is compatible with RaceChrono2AVI, which is a FREEWARE video overlay generator. http://www.racechrono.com/news/?p=92
So, if you already have an android, and get a qstarz bluetooth GPS (non logging ones are cheap), then there is an inexpensive option for logging data (Trackmaster is $5 IIRC) and doing video overlays (free).

Not affiliated, blah blah. I have used trackmaster and it works. I have not tried the video overlay yet. I have an old camcorder that has firewire output, which is oldschoolz. I need to get a cheap HD solid-state video cam like all of the ones I have seen floating around.
EDIT: I have used racechrono (at MSR) and that works too. It was within 1/10th or better of what the NASA transponder printouts were indicating. I think the main source of error was the location of the start/finish line in racechrono versus where the AMB receiver was at.
