Default turbo n build question on swap

Hey everyone I'm new to this forum hoping y'all can help me. I currently have a 1992 1.4l slow as hell. I'm ordering the jdm 1.8l swap. I'm also gona turbo this engine but first I gona build it. Im looking for 300hp. I need some rule of thumbs for this part. I know I need forged pistons n rods.
Question I have is what compression should I b looking at?
What cams should I b getting?
If there is a good turbo kit what would it b?

I feel bad for the flaming you are about to receive.
They don't make any turbo kits for the 1.4 liter, sorry.
Did you ever feel 300whp in a miata? You'd probably **** yourself.
Forget cams, just run the stock ones.
Search.

Maybe there would be a turbo kit For a 1.4, if there ever was a 1.4 in a miata.

Welcome to MT.net. Nobody is going to spoonfeed you.
Also, there is no such thing as a 1.4L in a Miata.

Well under my hood it says 1.4l which tells me there is a 1.4l. Now I don't need to b spoon fed I had legit questions hoping someone could lead me n the right direction. Never done a swap in a miata so I was just looking for help. So the smart *** remarks can stop uncalled-for. I've been on a bunch of forums n no one has ever acted like this. That's bad forums are suppose to be used for help b meeting people with the same intrest. Now treat it that way

WRONG.
You're asking vague/stupid ******* questions that are in every single way/shape/form the precise definition of asking to be spoon fed.

The difference between this forum and others is that we treat everyone like a MAN, and not like a stupid child that asks questions like "where do babies come from?".

So start with the DIY FAQ, then the useful saved posts, then do a quick search: questions like yours have been asked ONE HUNDRED MILLION BILLION TRILLION times and there are FIVE HUNDRED GAJILLION THREADS ABOUT IT.

On another note,

Welcome, enjoy your stay

I would like to get a hold of a 1.4L miata engine to put in my DD I bet it would get sweet gas mileage. My 1.6l got 40 so the 1.4L would get at least 100 mpg. lol

Dude you don't have a 1.4, Mazda didn't stamp the engine with the capacity. Miata's come in 1.6 or 1.8. What year is your car? Secondly, you didn't ask anything about doing a motor swap, you asked questions about turbo'ing your car and getting 300hp.

To get 300HP you need about $5000 or more. This is what you need to spend the money on (and this is for either a 1.6 or 1.8 motor):
1. Turbo
2. Turbo manifold.
3. Downpipe 3"
4. Catback exhaust 3"
5. Injectors 500cc+
6. Intercooler
7. Intercooler piping
8. Programmable ECU
9. Blow off valve
10. Forged Pistons
11. Forged Rods
12. Boost controller
13. Clutch
14. New rear differential (assuming your car is a 1989-1993)
15. New rear axles
16. A **** ton of tuning

Those are the essentials. Good luck with build.

Oh no, other forums are nicer than MT? What the **** am I going to do with my life?!?!?! OMFG!!!!

Please, be a ******* man. When I joined this forum, I was not a man, I was a boy. The pain will make you a man, MT.net will be a father to you. He will take you by the hand and show you the way, he will spell things out, even lead the horse to water and take a little water in his mouth and "momma-bird" the water to you, but only after disciplining you. He will touch you in a place so intimate that the degree of pleasure you will experience will be life altering...and that place is your "magic button" prostate. However, MT.net cannot get to your pleasure zone until you put on a diaper, soil yourself, and receive a spanking from your father.

This forum is the most helpful forum you can go to regarding a specific make and model of car. You just have to be a man about it.
