Default RM downpipe - what cat fits? Built on Pitlabs car incase you missed it 1000 times ago

I heard that when using the RM DP with the greddy kit, that the stock cat converter won't bolt up due to a flange issue?
I've got a cat delete pipe, but need to get a new cat anyway in order to pass emissions. Is there a bolt up cat that will work? I know I could have XYZ welded up, but that's not my preference. I'm weird about mechanics touching my cars...

When he made my system ,the greddy kit I bought 2nd hand came with the racing mazda downpipe. I oreded both the "test pipe" and the cat convertor from him when I ordered my exhaust from him, incase I needed it (I live in a non emmision county here in GA.... for now).

I'm going to ride it ut as long as I can too

Back on topic....... The other suggestion would be to try another source for the cat. I have the cat and if you find somebody here in the north GA area I would be more then happy to bring it to him to see what he could do......

I have a spare cat that I bought to use for the same reason. I took out my test pipe and the cat bolted right in with no problem. On, pass, off in all of about 30 mins. It’s a brand new OEM cat by the way.

I was actually thinking about trying and setting up sending the cat around the US to those that needed it for emissions to help out and make a little green here and there. I figured, instead of someone having to do what I did, I could just ship it at that persons cost and get myself paypal'd maybe $10 and just keep circulating it.

I like your cat-whoring idea.

I ordered my Dp with a flange to fit a 2.5-3" flange. It wont fit the stock cat. Ric made these to customer specs. I see you going to the local muffler shop weather you like it or not. Just buy yourself a universal catalytic that will fit the pipe size you want and have them flange it up and install it for you, you could even have a flex joint installed at the same time to help you with the rest of the exhaust. I dont understand the phobia, but it really is a small job you are asking them to do, really.

I think BEGi might be selling them again, best to call to make sure.

BTW AJ,the turbo will need to come out to install the bigger downpipe.

the RM was originally set up on my car to fit the stock cat via a slotted flange.

I am not sure if ric eventually changed that in the actually production run
