If that noise is from the turbo, something is wrong.... hell is sounds like rope pull on a flag pole.
What was your ignition timing set to? any retarding device? Go do a compression check, motor doesn't sound healthy.

Ok, diagnostics made by local company: leak down 10-20% which is OK. I don't know how they exactly test this and this may be differend to methods used here.
Cause: one of the plugs had it's gap at 0. Meaning the plug was essentially short circuited. After they fixed that, car ran smooth as ever.
They are unsure how this happened. Only a foreign object can cause this so they are going to use an endoscope to check the cylinders.
Next step is to reattach the turbo and see if it still makes the funny noise.

Update: turbo is on and runs fine. Still has the high pitched ding though. Possibly a foreign object entered the air filter, through the inlet, intake and cylinder. There knocked out my spark plug and exited through the manifold to the turbine side of the compressor and is still there making noise.
Now how do I verify and how do I take it out?

To eliminate the afpr: Just connect the fuel system as oem (standart mazda)
by moving the retour line bach to it's origional position. So the fuel is not running through the afpr.
Now start the car and STAY OUT OFF BOOST!!!!!
Take it for a run. If the whine is gone, the afpr is to blame.
NEVER GO INTO BOOST WITHOUT THE AFPR!

remove the turbo from the turbine housing...
it's doubtful something is still in the housing and randomly colliding ever now and again.
a foreign object bouncing around would make a noise much like a marble in a garbage dispoasl.
