Default Car Running Lean

Put the Miata on the dyno and I ran 148hp @ 14:1 A/F I have a GReddy kit, 5psi, timing @ 10 degrees and **** intercooler pipes w/RX7 intercooler with stock disk on a Dynojet dyno. If I put in 1.8 injectors, will it richen it up without any other mods? Or do I need to get a Bipes/retard timing?

A little bit. Are you on the stock pump?

how much boost? are you running the vortech with the standard 12:1 disk? do you know your fuel pressure?

btw, what kind of dyno?

original post edited for content. 5PSI Stock Disk, Stock FP I assume, on a dynojet dyno.

welcome to the limits of the stock pump. 1.8s will give you a little more headroom, but dont expect more than 160rwhp

1 injectors
2 recalibration disk set
3 fuel pump
4 timing control
5 boost control

you could probably pick up all of the above used for $300 and be able to crank up the boost until you run out of clutch.

WI group buy can do this as well look in the classifieds. 170 bucks the 1.8's in there for 50 bucks and for 220 or so bucks you to can have 220or morewhp with a healthy motor pump etc.

Ben is on the right track, but my order would be:

1. FP (190HP)
2. Timing Controller (Bipes)
3. Injectors (240cc)
4. Change the Fuel Pressure Rise (need to calculate this out)
5. MBC

If you're running lean at 5psi then you'll need a fuel pump for sure to get some more fuel at higher pressure levels.

timming controller is a must to help battle detonation. (Yes WI is another option)

Larger injectors will help you flow more fuel into the system

MBC will allow for higher boost levels.

With the said above you should easily & safely be able to reach 8psi.
