Ca Smog, round 2
I lost the information for the Brainstorm recommended tech I used 2 years ago. Since BS isn't around anymore, I couldn't go back to him. I went to a random, lowkey test-only place a block from my mechanic. He was a bit more skittish about testing an after-market turboed car than the recommened guy from two years ago, but after showing him the CARB sticker (he made me actually stick it on to the valve cover) we were off. Car failed by 120 ppm NO at 15 mph the first time, with a brand new cat with 120 miles on it.
Took it to my mechanic who recommened cleaning out the intake manifold (I had him install a new O2 sensor too. Probably didn't make much difference though). After the thorough intake manifold cleaning, my car passed no problem.
