You have a reason why?
IMHO stainless is more bling then anything. Sure it doesnt rust, but honestly you probably wont be holding onto the car long enough for it to matter. Thats why I got mild steel.
Edit: Btw, kenzo. You still want that pipe I got from teknicsian? Its for a 1.6.

Just a personal choice, but I would be willing to pay extra for SS just for resale and from what I've heard/read about the longevity of SS over MS...I figure Miatas are going to be around a while so there should be demand for the pipe even if I sell the car (if I decide to sell it in stock form and sell the kit separate)...

I will shoot a picture of the DP when I get home... but after a few months of use, it looks just like it did before I put 4000 miles on it!
Seriously, I've been working on cars for 15+++ years and don't see a need to roll with stainless. I've never had an exhaust go out on any of my cars within the first 10 years of ownership. Also, given the mod path most people go with, the stainless will just be more bling than anything else cuz odds are it will be swapped out with something better inside of 2 years or so. By then even the mild steel with a coat of paint on it will look fine.
BTW, in Cali you should have no problems at all with steel.... I had one of my Volvos parked in Santa Cruz for months with no signs of abnormal rust.
Cheers,
Prospero
