NB MSPNP startup issues/fine tuning
#22
REad the diyautotune writeups on tuning, that should get you started. read the threads on here about tuning. autotune is something the n00bs latch onto and regurgitate here as if it "automatically tunes your whole ecu". It doesn't. it's just a cool little program to help you dial in a rough fuel table.
you need to calibrate all your sensors. you need to make sure wideband communicates w/ ms and they match. you need to do the idle valve test. then tune idle ve and closed loop idle settings. THEN you start autotuning

It's a steep curve, don't let anyone tell you it's not. The bottom line is: do you want to spend hours/days/weeks/months reading and learning and then hours/days/weeks applying the knowledge, observing the results, learning from them, and making corrections as needed
or
Find a competent tuner, drop the car off with him, pay him his rate, and pick it up done?

It's just better/easier knowing your expensive **** is in good hands. I went through the same thing with my old RSTi & my WRX. I could never get either of them tuned. Both always had some small problem that wouldn't let me simply put a tune on them. Sometimes, it's just easier having somebody (who knows their ****) make your ****, not as shitty.
