Just traded my MS1 for an MSPNP2, a V1.2 with a red board.
It seems to be powering up fine, it primes the fuel pump and the #1 and #2 LEDs turn green.
I cannot however, connect to it via my laptop. I've tried 2 serial cables and 2 USB-serial adapters, including one I bought from DIY and have tuned dozens of megasquirts with.
I've plugged it into Oregonmon's unmolested wiring harness and it does the same thing. His is wired for VVT, '01+ CKP/CMP, and sequential injection, so it didn't run on his.
Mine currently has nothing bolted to the exhaust side of the block, so I can't try to run it on mine either, although I have no idea what kind of map is on the car anyways.
I've also tried connecting it to the firmware uploader, no go.
I'm wondering if there's a jumper that's been moved?
Anyone have anything for me to try?

Ignore me! Just had to wipe and reload the firmware.
This isn't the easiest procedure to find.
But for any future v1.2 users out there: With the unit powered off, open the box by removing the top 2 screws on either side. I then stole the clutch switch jumper to jump the two boot pins. Power on the MS with it hooked up via your serial-usb cable to your laptop.
Then load the ms2loader_win32 after downloading the latest ms2 firmware here:
Megasquirt Firmware Downloads - Megasquirt EFI
Then follow the on-screen prompts as to when to have the jumper installed, and when not too.
Yay I can change my signature!
