MS3PRO PNP
Audi R8 coils purchased from FCP Euro
Custom harness from Digitune
Installed his harness. Coils 1 and 2 use the factory connectors. Coils 3 and 4 need to be wired to the ECU. I'm using the option connector on the logic level terminals.
MS fires in alphabetical order...ABCD. Miata firing order is 1,3,4,2 so would need to be wired 1A, 3B, 4C, 2D
Coils 1 and 2 are using factory harness. Coil 3 to pin W. Coil 4 to pin U.
Went to test outputs and these are my results:
A fires 1
B fires 2 and 3
C fires 4
D fires none
What is happening??

My guess is your options connector is actually C and B, not C and D. So OE harness does A, B, then Digitune/your wiring fires B again, then C. And since 3 is wired to B via the OE harness, and 2 is wired via the expansion connector, 2 and 3 are firing at the same time.
Edit: looking at the MSpropnp documentation, make sure your pins are side by side, U and S. If there's a pin in between them, you wired to ignition B/C on pins S and W.

Per the documentation supplied with the Digitune harness:
- Connect the oem coil connectors to the new coil harness. The numbers 1 and 2 are
scratched into the connectors. Connector 1 goes to the oem connector that supplied cyl1. - Feed the two-wire harness through the firewall to the ecu
- With the two wires fed through the firewall, you can insert the terminals into the connector housing. Yellow goes to coil 3 and blue goes to coil 4.
So his documentation says coils 1 and 2 are fed on the OEM connector. 3 and 4 are wired to the MS. You're saying his connectors are for 1 and 3? and I need to wire 2 and 4?
If that's the case then... Coil 1 uses factory wiring. Coil 3 uses factory wiring. Coil 4 fires on C pin U, and Coil 2 fires on D pin S

Update after some more testing.
Digitune and the OEM harness trigger A1 and B2
A D C B
1 3 4 2
A B C D
I swapped the coils so B would trigger 3 instead of 2
4 is wired to pin U
2 is wired to pin S
Tested outputs:
A 1
B 3
C 4
D None
Out of the eight or so combinations I've tested, D has never once fired. D is pin S, 4th in on the connector. Ahhh I'm so close haha

Update again.
I tested all coils on different drivers and verified they all function and fire.
I tested continuity in the wires to the options connector to the coils.
I tested continuity of the wire to the pin on driver D. No continuity. Swapped out the wire for another and I’m up and running. Looks like the pin was crimped over the insulation.
Thanks for your help curly!
