Strangely, I have no problem with the delay.
I think it has to do with the fact that every time I PM/email him about status, I get this:
Rev: X problem occurred, now I have to make it 10x better)

The major problem is the licensing issue - I have been trying to license the MS3 firmware for almost a year and I keep hitting dead ends. Looks like this might finally be over after some recent developments.

Here's a reply from the developers, that was sent on Sept 27th, and no reply since then:

just wanted to let you know that we aren't being intentionally obstructive.

I've been persuing this deal since god knows when and everytime that there seems to be a breakthrough, we get stuck somewhere else.
I may just go ahead an release it as a hardware package with the stock firmware and limited additional features, and then once the firmware licensing deal is in the clear, offer a trade-in for the updated unit.
