Default WTT FEELER: My T3 setup for your T25 setup

I'm thinking about making a major change to my 1.6L setup but I don't want to dump on any cash.

I'm trying to see if there's any interest out there on a straight up trade: My new eBay T3 50 trim (like 500 miles), BEGi Directed Pulse Manifold and SS Begi DP (2.5-2.75") for your comparable T25 setup. So I'd want a FM or BEGi cast T25 Manifold, T25 Turbo (sr20det), and DP.

I'm looking for more of a DD street/autox setup and enjoy driving Shueinds's T25 S1 kit.

No ebay manifolds or DSM turbos. I wanna straight up swap parts in, will be easy on both parties this way. I'm still up in the air about it, cause I hate doing work mainly, and I gotta find time to do it, but I'd like to see if anyone is interested. But if I do anything, it might not be until the end of Nov when I try to get the current turbo on a dyno first to see how my torque curve is actually looking. I figure this could get any ***** rolling.

What are you looking for in a DD/Autox car that this doesn't give? Just faster spool? I just looked at the spool data thread and was kinda impressed by the spool characteristics of some of the 1.6 T3s.

Sometimes i wish it just had a little but more grunt down low. My problem is when I park the car and have downtime I crazy ideas in my head.

Here's my latest two dynos:

Only difference in the setup is the IC size, going with a smaller core helped spool a lot, when I when to my huge 18x12x3 it suffered. Then I put that IM on it and it suffered more. The top end was pretty crazy and I completely maxed my injectors, but i didn't like how it drove as a DD. It was really hurting in slow corners. So I sold the IM, and big IC, and even dropped to a slightly smaller T3 turbo.

I've driven a 1.8L BEGi S1 setup with a SR20det turbo and 3" exhaust sharing a similar timing map and boost level and I like driving it until about 5K where I do miss the top end. So i dunno, I figured if anything I could always make it a t28, so I have the same HP potential but still have faster spool. I went to this ebay T3 cause it had a smaller compressor wheel that would still make my 230rwhp. It defiantly feels torquer in the mid, but because the turbine is actually slightly larger than before its not really reacting faster.

I just posted this on a whim. I'm trying to refresh my motor and get it back on the dyno on Nov 14th where I'll be in a better position to make the call, if I wanna stick with the T3 or go T25.

I'll trade my BEGi IHI RHB 5 setup with ya.

Stupid crazy fast spool...hella down low power.

I actually want to move the powerband up the rev range.

Comes with a complete Tbird turbo as well, the popular compressor upgrade, in need of a rebuild.

With this you could have one turbo for autoX, and eventually rebuild the other if you ever want to see more than 13psi or do trackdays.

I am assembling parts for a cheapy DIY SR20 T25 setup as well...but this may change plans. The T25 on it's was needs to be rebuilt as well.

Just throwing it out there.
