VVT engine, 6-speed, FM clutch and more
I'm doing an engine swap, so everything must go! Pictures coming soon. All parts are in Carmel Valley, CA.
What would be ideal is someone who wants to do a swap into their 1.6 or something, lives close enough to come out here, and has some spare time to help me pull it. Such a person would get a sweet package deal. Everything is still in the car so that a would-be buyer can run it/drive it etc. Everyone else will have to wait until either the engine or transmission are sold and everything is pulled. Shipping is negotiable.
The car is a 2002 SE with 125k miles. It lived for 10-15k miles with a turbo, and overall has been well-taken care of. It's seen track time and long-distance commuting. The engine burns a little oil and should get a general service while it's out of the car. The pan is tapped for an oil drain line, and capped off.
The transmission is original from the car and has an almost-new shifter bushing kit installed.
I haven't examined the clutch (it's still in the car). It was used but basically new when I installed it in 2014 or 2015, and has about 15k miles on it. It should be in great shape still. If it comes out looking overly tired I'll update the price.
Other things may be added to this list depending on what goes along with the big-ticket items.
6 speed - sold
Engine, complete (intake, fuel parts, alternator, starter)
Engine, long block
Stock flywheel
FM clutch - $250
Driveshaft - $100
Exhaust - sold
Mazda competition motor mounts - $75
Wiring harness - $75

Naw, I'm good. I accept highballs, ***** of cash, or even medium-but-still-totally-fair-*****.
cmcgregor, I PMed you my number. Give me a call to discuss. Basically, anyone who wants to come help pull, and wants a collection of the items, will receive many a discount. A much smaller, but non-zero discount for just coming and helping pull.

Nevermind, the interested party didn't show. Everything is still available. The engine has been drained of fluids and disconnected, but I could get it back connected up if the buyer wants to see it run. I also took a video of the buttery smoothness that is its cold startup.

I've also dropped the prices of the big ticket items, and can still work a solid deal for someone who wants to come out and grab a bunch of stuff.

transmission and exhaust are sold. I'll give a couple more days for someone to take the whole engine, and then I'll start parting off the accessories like starter, alternator, mount brackets, cam angle sensor, intake manifold etc.
The clutch looks to have a lot of material left. Does anyone know how thick a new FM clutch disk is, and how thin it goes before it's replacement time?
