No need to beat on the tunnel.
Use an angle grinder and take the front right corner off the mount instead.

Much easier that way.

Curious what waste size you have and how the seat felt to you. I know I should take you out for a coffee or something before asking something so personal just trying to decide if I want this seat for my miata or not.

I've got a 40" waist and they fit great.
My buddy who has a 36" waist can't fit in them at all.

Waist size doesn't have much to do with fitting in seats, it's the width of your pelvis/hips.

I'm in this same range and will agree. I can get my butt/hips in a Sprint V no problem, but my barrel of a ribcage struggles with the sides.

Also, is that bracket bolted to the humps or bolted through the floor?

sv650_ck: Thanks for being awesome and answering all our silly questions. Hopefully these bumps and additional infos help with the sale.

The provided pictures above show that the bracket bolts to the factory mounting points or "humps"

I never noticed that it wasn't when it was installed. Can re-install for anybody seriously interested and take some measurements.
