For Sale: 1.8 COMPLETE Turbo Kit
Up for sale is a COMPLETE turbo kit for 1.8L Miata. This came off of my ’95 Miata M-Edition and was used for about two years and less than 10k miles. I’m selling the car and decided to put the car back to stock. This is a home-built turbo kit based on a lot of information I obtained from the Miata Turbo forum. The kit worked great on my car and was daily driven with no problems.
Here’s what the kit includes:
- Log-type turbo manifold made from Schedule 10 Stainless Steel pipe fittings, uses a dsm turbo flange, TIG welded
- T-25 dsm 2g turbo, water cooled, adjustable wastegate actuator rod, used a return spring to control boost
- E-bay Stainless Steel 2.5” downpipe, worked great
- E-bay FMIC and piping
- Dsm 1g BOV
- Walbro 190HP fuel pump
- Fuel pressure gauge
- Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator, it’s a quality piece, just can’t remember the brand name
- MSD Boost Ignition Timing Retard Box
- Olderguy 02 Clamp
- Innovate LC-1 Wideband Kit, complete with sensor and gauge
- VDO boost gauge
- Custom 2.25” exhaust, with stainless resonator and Borla muffler
- All silicon intake couplers, some vacuum lines and oil return line.
- Stainless braided oil feed line with metric AN adaptor
Like I said this is a COMPLETE kit. Includes everything you need to have a reliable turbocharged Miata. I ran this kit at 7-8psi with no problems and ran a best of a 14.5@97mph at my local drag strip. It a made a huge improvement in the performance of the car from stock. I would like to note that the turbo manifold does need some attention and has a couple cracks that can easily be welded. Also, I would invest in an aftermarket clutch set-up as well because the stock clutch in my car couldn’t handle the extra torque. I’m sure there are some things I missed, so take a look at the pics and if you have any questions please let me know. Asking $900obo. Thanks!

I want it but I already have some of the pieces and shipping the exhaust would be well... expensive.
How about with just the down pipe, turbo kit, no gauges (Maybe the FP Gauge Depending on what it is) or wideband (I have my own) and no Fuel pump as I want a 255 to run e85. Also no FPR or MSD I will be using Megasquirt.
If you wanna deal I am not expecting a lot off just trying to save myself the shipping and hassle of reselling those pieces I will not use since I already have them.
Just shoot me a PM if it interests you, thanks!

The seller had UPS pack it (which added many $$ to the cost), and all up it cost $280 or so. I think if the seller had self-packed it would have been under $200.
Greyhound is even cheaper too:

Yes and no, see if he pays a small amount up front to hold but does not take the goods until he pays in full at the end of the month he is not paying on credit. He is just holding the item with a small down payment. Should he not come through at the end of October with the remainder of monies then the seller should keep a small percentage of the down payment for possible lost sales and the buyer.
Either way I have learned through hardship that cash is king and debt never sleeps. Dave Ramsey has some valuable tips on the path to debt free living.
AKA - it will take a long time to save up for a built engine, bigger turbo and MSIII....... a long time....
