Default Ported 99' BP-4W head and Gutted Intake

I ported these over the winter for my track car project. But I have since decided to stick with the 1.6 shortblock, therefore I no longer have any use for these.

The head has a mild port job consisting of a gasket match, bowl blending, and de-shrouded/polished chambers. The oil drain passages have also be radiused to improve oil drain-back.

The head needs the seats touched-up and the deck surfaced while it is apart. I can have this done locally for an additional $140

(I also strongly suggest installing +1mm valves, this would greatly improve the bowl to valve seat transition which is really poor on the BP/B6 engines - let me know if you are interested)

The head comes complete with valves/springs/cams/lifters/etc.

The both portions of intake have been gutted, including the EGR passages through the upper half near the TB. The EGR passage in the lower was treaded and plugged, so you can keep the EGR valve located on the back of the intake (stock appearing for those who live in states like California)

intake includes the fuel rail/FPR and miscellaneous brackets.

asking:

$500 for the cylinder head
$300 for the intake manifold

If I had the cash, I'd be all over this ---- like white on rice. Unfortunately this is just a free bump. Good luck with the sale. I'm sure it will go quickly.

Will the polished IM work well with an oem head or is it pointless?

Gutting the intake was a PITA! It took a solid 8 hours. This is the last one I will ever do (unless someone is willing to pay me $800 for it)

There are some results that show a HP gain a higher RPMS, so it is a worthwhile mod for some people. Take a look at the link below:
https://www.miataturbo.net/general-m...testing-66901/

In my opinion BP intake manifold design is crap, especially these... but what better options are there, aside from going to a JDM/Euro Square Top or fabricated manifold.

Performing the gutt essentially turns this manifold into a short runner intake that has a huge plenum, the short runners are good for high rpms but it hurts spool. The increase plenum volume should decrease flow variations from cylinder-to-cylinder and improve VE especially in the #1 cylinder.

USPS says it is approximately $100 for Priority mail to 32719 zip. They have a "Parcel Post" for $60 but I have never used this method, so I am not sure if there are restrictions that would exclude shipping a large/heavy package or how long it would take.
