Haggling? Selling a car, sure.

I have been buying and selling MX5 parts for something like 25 years (including parting out two road cars and one racecar), and I rarely haggle, or have to respond to 'offers'. I set my price (and I have been criticised for being too exxy), if it doesn't sell it sits there until it does, or if I particularly want it gone I reduce my price. If I see something that is too exxy, I just pass unless I really really need/want it.

You sound like you don't know or care about the market prices for what you are trying to sell, that is your prerogative. But you do know the forum rules because that is what you signed up for, right?

Thank you for giving a respectful and thought-out response. This is what I'm talking about with regards to addressing people in a respectful and dignified manner, which sadly is a skill that has been lost on the Internet.

And you are correct, I'm selling dozens of parts for frankly only this one time ever, and I'm a very busy man. It would take quite a bit of time to research pricing for each and every one, and I don't want to sit here and play with pricing to get an item to sell. I just want to sell it. I would much rather have the buyer DM me a price they feel is reasonable, and if I agree then I'll accept it and send it out. That way we're both happy and we both get what we want at a reasonable price.

And yeah, I wasn't aware of the pricing rule, and I was more upset at the forced and aggressive approach they were taking. In my experience, posting a price just results in people complaining about the price or haggling me anyway. In my case, I don't want to offer my parts at any particular price, I'd rather work with the buyer to negotiate a fair deal for both of us. I'm not a store and I'm not setting any particular price. I'm willing to work within someone's budget, within reason.
