Because it's fashionable to be disrespectful rather than take note of the difficult decision to disassemble and sell one's prized personal possession.

Gentlemen, we all have our reasons for parting with our projects. Perhaps the money is needed to purchase another car, or pay medical bills, or for the funeral of a loved one. Whatever the case may be, it is beyond disrespectful to your fellow man and enthusiast to use the opportunity to troll and belittle someone in a difficult position. These decisions are carefully calculated and are not taken lightly. If you have a negative comment, take it elsewhere. I don't care for them as they don't further my goal of selling the parts.

Not posting prices in your for sale ad = inconsistent pricing, potential shady dealings.

If you know what you're trying to recoup for your parts, why do we need to contact you to be let in on the secret? We've already clicked your thread, tell us what you're asking for your parts. If you're "testing waters" or open to offers then just say so. ****, if you're trying to gauge an items worth, we could help you with that too.

People are going to send me whatever prices they want to pay regardless of the price I post, so what does it matter?

And how is this shady? Someone asks about a part and we can negotiate something reasonable.

Frankly, it seems that you and many others commenting in this thread aren't interested in purchasing anything. If you were, you would have DM'd me, as others already have.

BTDT, parted out my built car. Individually priced all-of-it. Painful (the decision, and the process). Productive, for buyer and seller.

Just do it.

You're welcome to leave if you don't like the rules. I thought the group at large was being pretty generous, and I would think that since I have seen you dragged for your temperament in several of your fs posts on facebook, that you would see the common denominator.

I'm beyond tired of the constant disrespect. If there is a problem, it can be approached respectfully.

Hi, I’m interested in your rear hubs. Pics please? Also please confirm these are brofab. And please confirm bearing condition.

also, is your “complete built engine” brand new refresh? It might help if you list out the parts in your “built” engine and note how many hours/miles it has on it. A completely built engine with 40 hrs on it is not worth much, because it needs a tear down with a minimum of new rings and new bearings.

Do you see any irony in that statement?

I'm not entertaining a response. The people commenting are trolling. The people actually interested in buying things are sending me DMs and I've sold quite a bit of stuff.

It doesn't change the disrespect of not following the rules and making excuses even after being asked to.

Why do people want prices on the post SO BAD? What difference is it going to make? Regardless of what price you put, people are going to send you offers on whatever prices they feel is fair anyway. Why go through this charade at all? The rules don't match reality. What's the point of putting up a price that's slightly higher than what I want because people are gonna send me lower offers anyway. We all have an idea of what things are worth and what we feel is a fair price for these items.

I just want to skip the trolling and shenanigans. Just send me the price you feel is fair for that item, and if I agree then I'll accept the offer. I think that this approach leads to a better outcome for both parties.

Additionally, some parts are difficult to price in a realistic and fair manner or require additional discussion to come to an agreement on a fair value. I'm not interested in ripping anyone off and I'm not interested in undervaluing or overvaluing an item. I make more than enough money and I don't have to resort to such tactics. I just want to sell good parts for a good price.

I invite the people that I have sold items to on this forum to chime in on the buying experience.

It doesn't matter if the rules match what you think is reality or not, they're the rules of this forum. If you don't follow them, people will point that out. Sometimes more politely than others. Sale posts need prices and photos. You've stated your opinion on this over and over, the fact is your post breaks the rules for classified posts.

Edit: They gone

Okay, and if I put each item at $10,000 OBO, would I be compliant with the rules?

There, I put prices, but they mean nothing as people are going to send me offers. Is the post compliant now? Is this what you wanted?
