Ohlins Road&Track NA/NB Coilovers $995
SOLD $995 local cash pick up or $1,070 shipped to the lower 48.
I picked these up used a while ago with the intention of putting them in my street/track turbo but I never got around to installing them and now I’m planning to sell the car.
They are known to handle great, be extremely robust, great range of adjustment, and are fully rebuildable / revalveable. Read more here:
Good-win-Racing Ohlins
Background: This set was made for sale in the Japanese domestic market and Ohlins manufactured them in a factory in Japan. They can be considered the First Gen Ohlins Shocks for Miatas. However, from my conversation with Ohlins USA, the only difference between this generation of shocks and what they are currently selling in the US is the factory they are using for manufacturing.
Why so cheap?
Full disclosure, the previous owner wanted to go to stiffer springs on the front shocks and instead of installing correctly sized 2.5” springs for some reason he used 2.25” springs. In order to accommodate the smaller spring ID he dremeled down the spring seats to fit. (Currently it has the original 2.5” front springs that came with the kit back in place).
Also, all 4 of the adjustment ***** at the top of the shocks are missing. (The shocks can still be adjusted using an Allen key in the hollow shafts at the top of the shocks)
These shocks have definitely been used (no idea on miles) and have cosmetic scratches on the springs and bodies but there is no evidence that the seals are leaking. They move smoothly and pop back up when you push them down without springs. The pillow ball mounts move smoothly and the bonded rubber bushings at bottoms all look good.
They are a quality set of shocks, parts are readily available from Ohlins USA or from any local Ohlins shock distributor.
I priced them low so if I can’t get my asking price, I’ll I picked these up used a while ago with the intention of putting them in my street/track turbo but I never got around to installing them and now I’m planning to sell the car.

One rear shock has blem on the very upper threads of the spring adjustment. It’s unlikely you will ever thread up that high so it never worried me.

I do not have the locking spanners but you can get a cheap set on Amazon / eBay

I priced them low so if I can’t get my asking price, I’ll just put them in my Son’s Miata.
I included pictures of the spring seats of one front and one rear shock so you can see how the front was modified. I talked to Ohlins and a new set of spring seats can be ordered.
Fronts dremeled spring seat to fit 2.25” spring
Upper seats on fronts dremeled to fit 2.25” springs
Rear spring seats have not been touched
Rear upper spring seat without modification
