Default New* Borg Warner EFR 6758 Turbo

So I picked this guy up thinking I would use it. I bought it from a guy who had planned on doing a compound setup on his Sti but decided to go a different route. Then I decided I cant justify building a motor in the near future to handle and use this to its potential and I really dont need any more power than its currently making. So its up for sale for what I think is a very good deal.

This turbo is not new in box and no longer carries a manufacturers warranty, however it has never never been used or seen fluids. Only fitted for an application.

Borg Warner EFR 6758
0.64 A/R T25
V-band exhaust
300-450hp range
Billet Wheel
Ceramic Ball Bearing
Integrated BOV
Integrated WG

Notes:
There has been a 90* elbow welded to the compressor outlet. It was professionally and cleanly done, see pics.
I do not have a diaphragm or screws for the BOV, just the cover and spring.
Replacement kits can be had fairly cheap, or Full Race, Turbo Smart and I think Tial make some pretty neat replacements.

You will receive everything you see in the pictures. That will also include the BOV cover and spring that are not pictured.

Retails around $1730.
Asking $1100 firm shipped to the US.
Not looking for trades unless its a same condition Garrett GT2560R. And even then I'm really enjoying this little ole SR20 T25 so I may not bite.

LOL who in their right mind would want to trade an efr for a 2876?
1100 shipped is a good price, bump for you.

If I wasn't so broke I'd buy THIS one too.. lol. I could sell one for profit and pay for part of a TSE manifold.

If this was the aluminum center housing it would already be at my house. Crazy good price, I'm just particular as ****.

Still firm. Worst(best?) case scenario is I blow up this motor again but build it to use the efr. I'm just not stoked on building another manifold and down pipe. It's surprisingly difficult for a diy project...

Thanks for all the interest though guys!

And surprise!!! I blew it up again! I need to find a different tuner, or maybe engine builder. You know what would probably hold boost a little better, an LS... So yeah, probably make a new for sale thread and offload all the 1.8 turbo stuff here shortly.

Not to hijack thread, but what do you mean by blew? Was the motor built/upgraded in any way? What let loose?

I'm not entirely sure what happened because I haven't put a bore scope down in it but I'd guess I broke a chunk off another piston. The ground strap on the #1 cylinder was bent and is clearly low on compression. This happened last time in the #4 cylinder. I rebuilt it with factory parts since it wasn't the motor I wanted to build and I didn't want the car to be out of service all summer.

Can't win em all... I'm sure it's probably still a rebuildable motor, but I'm just gonna off load it all and go Vh8.

I was fully expecting it to blow up again. I do not treat my things nicely. I figure selling all my home made supporting mods will cover a lot of the conversion. Especially since my initial cost was pretty cheap.

I'll probably be able to sell the entire turbo kit in one shot, the ITB's will likely bring some cash and either sell or convert the DIYPNP to recoup/save...

What is "the ground strap on #1 cylinder"?
