almost all of them are running megasquirt and an ebay intercooler
many(most?) use flowforce injectors
Perfect. Thats what I was looking for. So it looks like 200-230 WHP is about what everyone is averaging with this set up and what you described. Do you think 250-275 is realistic if tuned with e85 or a mix of e85 and possibly water/meth injection? I am looking at this kit pretty hard.
Makes sense. I think I asked the question wrong. I have seen several posts in this thread with HP numbers but no explanation of their full set up. I would just like to know what these guys are running for ECU, intercooler and injectors so I can get a feel for how this kit performs with each set up.
I'm running DIYpnp that braineack built, rx8 yellow 420cc, an eBay 25"x7x5.5" inter cooler or close to that size can't remember off the top of my head. And the piping was a universal kit I bought along with some 45 degree and a 2.25"-2.5" reducer I bought from silicone intakes.

sure. how close to the limit of the stock rods you go is entirely up to you.
I'm sure this setup is enough to bend/break them

Easily, you need to be careful when you set up EBC, not to blow your **** up.
I run ms2, flow force and a small intercooler which might be limiting my power a bit. I am around 80% duty cycle on my injectors at the top of 4th gear on my low 13 1/4 mile pulls. I am not sure if I have enough injector for e85.
About 2k miles on the kit so far and its running pretty good. Only issue im having is the oil feed and drain gaskets on the turbo leak but i bought a couple sets of paper gaskets to replace them but havent had the chance to do it yet. Next upgrade will probably be some Flowforce injectors and possibly have an axle back made so i can swap between the muffler and being straight piped.

I had the same issue, a thin coat of the orange/copper high temp rtv on the gaskets fixed it. On the larger turbo, the gaskets sealed fine with no rtv. Lars told me he had no leaks without rtv, so it would seem occasionally some need a little sealant.

Could be the quality control of the machining surface on the center section or even the gaskets they give.
But I'll keep that high temp rtv in mind when I throw the new ones on.
quick question..What size tap and drill bit do I use for the oil pan, so I can use the AN fitting provided in the oil line kit? Is it 1/2" tap or 3/8"?
Figured I would update on my progress. I did a 9.1 at 77mph at the 1/8th mile on 8psi. Just turned it up to 12psi so I'm hoping to break into the high 8's. Super fun to autocross. Thanks again Lars for this set up! I've got a little over 3k miles on the build.
