****! Lost? How the hell did UPS lose such a huge box. I've lost faith in all the delivery services now. Why can't they keep their **** straight? I already can't stand fed ex and usps, they can't even get my deliveries right 1/2 the time.
Sorry for my bitching Lars but these courier stories **** me off. That sucks that you have to make it again, hopefully it will warm up soon there.

Small update for everyone. Last weekend was good temperature out wise so I spent a lot of time in the garage. Currently I have 4 NA axle backs complete. I also started working on the downpipes, as they are now the part that takes the longest. 12 are needed at this point to finish out the group buy. I have more then 12 currently being worked on. I have the top sections tacked together on them all. Tonight I am planning on heading back out to the garage and continuing to work on the downpipes. I am hoping to get the next 45degree end added onto the bottom of each one, then start doing all the welding and not just having it tacked together. I will hopefully be working on that until I run out of Argon gas.
The one issue I am having right now is my supplier is out of turbo's and won't have any until about 4 weeks from now. I should be calling them a bit later today to talk and get a firmer date. I am going to press to have them drop ship the turbo's to you guys since they are out. If I don't get the answers I want I will start looking for another vendor. My fear though is that they are all probably out and waiting for the next batch.

Have you tried these turbos yet? The specs are the same but the compressor housing is different. I see lots more of these than the older one any more. Wonder if they aren't the new thing?
Looks better, at least. Wheel numbers are within rounding distance...

I did not buy them all back last October just because thats a ton of space to store 15 turbos, that I don't really have room for. This is the first time where wanting to order multiple at time has ever been an issue.

I see, I assumed they all came from the same factory, I'm just wondering if we're seeing the last of the old style compressor housing, all that's left is middleman stock, more or less.
I can't find a single internal gate v-band outlet t3 with the old style compressor housing on ebay, they're all external gate 4 bolt turbine outlets or the new style ones like I linked before.

When I got my original NB kit from Lars I bought a spare turbo directly from the same source as he did at the time.
Here's a listing of "similar" turbos compared to the original in the kit. Obviously, some are identical some are only because the T3 flange. Hope this helps someone; T3 .48AR 2.5" V-Band Flange .42AR Compressor Internal Wastegate Turbo Charger | eBay
Not having gone through the complete listing #2, 5, 6, 7,8 are the same specs and looks as the one I have on my bench.
PSA: Don't assume if it's on the list it's exactly the same as the kit turbo. The Ebay "show similar" is less then stellar.

Compressor houses have changed a few times over the past 1.5 years. Internally they are all the same. I doubt that guy actually has those rev9 t3 in stock. That is the brand name this time that I am waiting on. Guy I am talking to had them listed last week. Then when I purchased some he got in touch and let me know they were out of stock higher up.

I just got off the phone with my turbo vendor. Current ETA is 4-6 weeks on the Rev9 turbo's. One of the big hold ups is that it was/is the Chinese new years so lots of factory workers taking off from work. The good thing is that now I have a direct vendor to go through and can bypass eBay. The other good thing is he is will to drop ship straight to you guys. So no more shipping the turbo's to me, then me shipping them out to you guys. I will be reaching out to the people on the group buy as I get setups finished to see if they want me to ship their setup before turbo's have arrived or not.

Some pictures to prove I am getting work done. 3 Axle backs are complete in the picture, 1 more complete one is on a car right now. 5 others with all the hangers on and the v-band flange tacked on. I put the tips on once I have each axle back on the car to try to get the best fitment I can.
**** ton of downpipes being worked on.

The downpipes are sort of made on a jig. In reality I am building them all 1 off on the car for each user. All the 45degree bends and such are cut to the same size, hence why I am doing so many at once. It is easier to do all the same cuts over and over again. Then do alignment of each one on the car. So it take a while to install, mark where the next pipe needs to go, remove it, weld it, reinstall to test fitment and mark the next section. So yeah this is partly why I am going slower. I could do one complete setup at a time, but over all speed would be far slower then doing lots of the same thing over and over. After this group buy I am hoping to move to a prebent down pipe section to help cut down on build times. Since this is my first rodeo when it comes to fabricating things I am learning as I go along of what works best and what is the quickest.

I only had a little bit of time to work this past weekend. Between anniversary, valentines day, and freezing weather time was limited. I went from having 4 axle backs complete, to now having 10 done. I ran out of exhaust hangers and 3" straight pipe. So I could not finish the other ones I was hoping to build. Still got 4 more to go. Hangers were ordered this morning and I am hoping to get them Friday. Straight pipe should hopefully be ordered today or tomorrow and be to me by Friday also. Temps this week look to be 60+ out so I am hoping to get to working more on downpipes.
