I see.
I usually just search egay for "t3 5 bolt v band turbo" tons of different ones show up so you will want to do your research about turbo components. Probably a few of the flapper assemblies show up.
Damn. Proper. Did you give the Mustang driver a box of tissues?
Haha. No, he was super cool. He came up to me after the pass and told me he didn't expect the car to be that quick. I didn't lose a race that night (Most cars were on street tires) so there were many surprised folks coming to take a look when I had the hood popped between rounds.
Hey guys, just had a successful dyno session with the cxracing t04b dual ceramic ball bearing turbo and happy with the results i got. Thought i'd share the results. Only thing that differs on my setup is the oil drain is a 10AN now, Im using a .035 oil restrictor, the log manifold was modified for an EWG, and a exhaust valve cutout for the ***** and giggles. Rest of the kit remains the same.
I know that dyno sheet! Matt Miner tuned your car? Is that with the turbo that came with the kit?
Nah my friend tuned my car for me. But we were at Miners shop/dyno and he was operating the car. This isnt the Turbo that comes with the kit. This is the turbo im using now
I am having some trouble with my oil lines. My line seems to be too long. If I force it, the line will kink. Also My 1.6 oil sender is giving me trouble coming off. I have a 30 mm socket and I cant seem to get enough on the sender to remove it for the t. Does anyone have advice? Still waiting on a response from lars.
I think that drain line is supposed to go around the A/C hose, not between it and the block.
Not sure about the early oil pressure senders, someone else will know.
I removed my AC.
Do you mean the lower radiator hose? Mine is the flyin miata silicone hose. If you mean it goes around the power steering line and bracket (just above the steering rack)? I tried that and the line isnt long enough.
I found an early picture from one of Lar's return lines next to a measuring tape and it read 15" I measure mine and its about 17.5". I spent a bunch of time trying to route it to take up the extra line and it seems the shortest distance is the only way it will go. I even went to a hydraulic shop to see if they could shorten it and they couldnt do it.
Note: DONT force these lines. Theyre stainless steal teflon and if you kink it, the kink will never come out.
My mistake, I was referring to the power steering hose. I do think these hoses can be shortened by removing one fitting and cutting the hose with an abrasive wheel, but you definitely want someone who is comfortable doing it. Perhaps the hydraulic shop can just make you a new hose, or maybe a different hydraulic shop.
