Default K Swap parts for sale!

Regrettably I have decided to abandon my K swap project and instead to focus on the Supermiata S1 program instead.

I originally atarted this swap with the idea of racing in ST3, but with th new turbo class being close enough to the ST3 rules, it makes sense to kill 2 birds with one Miata - so my K swap parts are going bye bye.

My goal was to build a 300hp normally aspirated Miata thats super reliable, so my parts will hopefully reflect this.

All parts are either new or fresly back from a machine shop - in other words - unused.

Here is what I have:

K24 TSX short block complete engine.
Supertech pistons 12.5:1
Brian Crower rods
NPR low tension rings

RSX Type S (PRB-1) head

brand new and never used or mounted.

K series to S2000 transmission adapter
as one might expect, I was planning on using an AP2 transmission instead of the disposable Miata transmission.

S2000 AP2 transmission from a 70K mile car

I have many, many more pictures from each item, but as they are new and unused, everything looks - new.

The short block is at the machine shop and has not been started yet - so you can choose how to move forward.

Pricing varies depending on how complete or bare you want everything.
Everything is located in SoCal and can be picked up for free, or shipped at your expense.

ITBs $2450
Head $3000 complete, or?
K24 engine $2500 for all parts - unassembled, no machine work. 3000-3500 balanced and assembled for short block.
Subframe $1200
Trans adapter $300
S2K AP2 trans $500

priority will be given to paries interested in the whole lot.

Also have a 99 NB1. Red. Auto. Straight. Great driver. $3000

90 rolling shell. Ex Spec Miata. SCCA logboock. $1500

Thanks for looking.

David

Anything SuperMiata S1 related

Looking for NB subframe(s), 6speed and possibly 5speed. Engine internals possibly although I might have that covered already.
MS3 Pro, big brakes - basically anything related to building a w2w racecar.

Also, updated original post - K24A2 is complete, not short block. I have everything for it.

I have a pretty cool 99 - 2000 MS3 I'm parting with. PM me if you're interested, it's a pretty slick setup. Would be willing to trade that towards that subframe.

I have a 2000 block that I honed and re-ringed. I have another 2000 block with like 70,000 on it, which I would trust to use. I have a bare 99 head, a complete 99 head, 99 gutted VICS intake, bunch of SR20 turbo parts, injectors, the turbo setup that's on my car...a bunch of misc odds and ends. I really need to take the time to create a part out thread.

I'm not interested, but I'm curious about the S2000 trans choice. Does it require any tunnel/firewall mods to fit in the car with this swap? I've always heard that the F20 swap required a bunch of tunnel mods, but I have no clue if that's true. I know a trans mount and PPF delete are required.

I dont know for sure as I havent mocked anything up yet.

It shouldnt be very much since the transmission girth is about the same.
Shifter location is a little bit off but still very doable.

The biggest difference is the lack of a ppf which requires a rear trans mount and a diff mount -or- an adapter on the trans for a ppf.

Either way, the amount of effort is reasonable considering the alternative, which is tratimg transmissions as consumables.

Agreed. I only ask because of the PT/ST rules regarding tunnel and firewall mods. I really like the idea of using that trans.

Edit: Nevermind. I forgot that the subframe already forces you to take the non-production mod factor.

Thats exactly right

also the v8r getrag subframe does away with the ppf already, so you would just need a rear trans mount which is really easy.

That was my line of thinking as well.

The shifter is 2" further forward minus the depth of the adapter plate, so nothing too far fetched.
