Default FS: EMU, Boomslang Harness and freescale MAP sensor

The EMU has been sold. I still have the Boomslang harness for the EMU for a 1.6 miata, and the MAP sensor for $150 shipped.

That's pretty damn tempting. If I didn't think another Miata related purchase wouldn't result in a divorce I'd be all over this and then sell my EMB.

Good luck with the sale.

Sounds like a good deal Brian. I hope someone from here jumps on it.

Why do you prefer MS over the EMU?

I like the options it has like WI control, and the fact that its open source means there will always be new fun things coming out for it. Also I'm a computer engineering student at VT and soon I'll be taking some embedded systems courses and learning assembly language, etc... Then I can really have some fun with it. Don't get me wrong the EMU is a very good engine management. I'm an extreme DIYer, especially when it comes to electronics. I bought the EMU before I had ever heard of megasquirt though, before I even joined this forum. Now that I know about it thats the way I wanna go.

Is this for a 1.6 (the boomslang harness) ? Anyone need just the harness?

I should have mentioned that, sorry. Yes the harness is for a 1.6. I'm willing to sell the harness with the MAP sensor seperately. $300 for the EMU with support tool, and $150 for the boomslang EMU harness and MAP sensor.

Do you make it up north to the NOVA area (I work in the DC area) or are you from Blacksburg? I went to Tech back in the day '86-87.

God I'm on the fence between the megasquirt and the EMU but this is an effin tempting price.

Im from fredericksburg actually. I'll be coming home for thanksgiving. Those prices are shipped though. I had hoped to maybe have the megasquirt assembled before I came home so that I MIGHT be able to install the turbo then.
