Free 6 speed (miatanet)

Old tech from the 90's, piggyback catch the ignition/timing from the connector, when it sees boost it fires those injectors so no *need* for bigger ones. This way it goes rich in boost and lean and bounce like that.
When I bought the car, it was running something like this, strangely it was working with wideband going full rich too full lean so I told my wife that this engine will need replacement soon and it was good for 2 years of track abuse, EGT we're sky high too. Car was cheap.....

oooooohhhhh I missed that you were swapping out the motor. I knew it wasn't your car but I thought perhaps you had finished the turbo installation and that you were test driving it or something.

Yeah was wondering if just the block might be salvageable but I doubt it... I was thinking future build with forged internals for the future but there's a good chance the block is trash haha

Yeah thats my plan lol... Plus there are a few parts I can sell separately. The valve cover is polished so someone might want that. I also have all the accessories so there may be a couple bucks there. I'm glad I took on the job it's good practice since I haven't pulled a motorin a few years and I am getting the trans and some cash... Not a bad deal lol

Definitely blowed up pretty good! I'm sort of dragging my feet a little with pulling the motor. Honestly I don't see the point in busting my *** over it. Everything is loose, just have to disconnect one more harness thats between the block and intake manifold. Might have to remove the intake manifold, not sure... Should have the old motor out tomorrow morning and may or may not start swapping in the new motor... We'll see how much pain my back is in once the blown motor is out lol

I'm guessing he didn't have the $1000 to pay them, and figured it would be easier to trade for the 6 speed like this.
If this was a 1.6 and I had something bigger than a 1 car garage I'd totally do this. And sell the transmission.
