Default Free 1.6 motor

Currently as you can see sitting on my workbench.
Everything is there except the injectors and a couple crank-pulley bolts.

Head/ValveCover/Intake/IAC/Block/OilPan/WaterPump/Oil Pump/Timing Belt/MotorMounts/Block-Tranny Gasket/PS-AC bracket... and a few bags of bolts and **** are all there.

I make no promises regarding anything about this motor.

It started pissing water into #3 so I changed the head gasket and it still pissed... probably got a slightly warped head. Bottom end was still strong, but I bought another motor so I didn't have to **** with it anymore.

First person who says they can come get it in Virginia Beach wins.
I will not ship.

It had 135k on it, full maint, always Mobi1 iirc.

I didn't have any luck when I posted here giving mine away Sam. I just put in on M.net free section a few weeks back and someone was literally at my house within 1 hr of posting picking it up. I suggest you post there if you want to get it out of your garage fast.

Oh snaps, you got a 1.6 valve cover? I need, I need. Want to send it out to me? Gosh, I'll even pay you something for it, and the trouble.
Or want to pay a visit to that little bastard KPLAFIN for me? He's never sent the one I paid him for. Think he's close to you...

If somebody comes along in the next week or so and wants the whole thing, I'd rather do it that way.

I think all it needs is the head milled and a new head gasket and it will go right back and work fine (again, no promises). The last compression check I did was before I put 10k boosted miles on it and they were in the 180's... but there's no telling what 14psi of bandaid tuning did to it in that amount of time.

For info, PlanetMiata sells a 1.6 longblock for $450... that you know came out of a running car. If you're planning on swapping it in as a replacement, then you've got the peripherals already and just need the longblock.

If I get no takers by the end of next week, I'll part the thing for the cost of shipping plus whatever a handle of Captain goes for. But shipping the block/head/pan would cost about half what a GUARANTEED motor from PlanetMiata would... then you need an HG and the head milled and there's no guarantee that after you do all the work that I didn't hurt the rings bad when a river of coolant flooded the #3 under high boost.

For now, anybody who wants everything in the picture above just needs to show up... next week we'll talk parts.

Until then, Brain has dibs on the IM, and Ben on the VC.
Levnibhin, I just wouldn't feel right shipping you this motor knowing you're probably gonna spend at close to $450 getting it running with no guarantees.

I actually would only like to have it to stock pile it for a while. Im really only intrested in the guts. I have an completely empty block here. So all I would use is the crank, piston squiters and pistons. A spare head is a nice thing to have also.

I will hold onto the whole thing for you... can you give me a day you'll be here. I assume you'll want to pick it up on your way out of town?

^Sorry boss, unless Talus backs out, I'm gonna hold it a couple weeks for him. I'm sure if he changes his mind, he'll chime in here and it's yours.
