Not thread crapping, but just wondering - along with most of the other members here when they read this thread. Why did you go to all of that time and expense and not put in a $300 set of forged rods FTW???

seems like a nice clean engine. not too sure how many buyers you will find here because most of us are broke and would want upgraded pistons/rods anyways. i say you sell the head separately from the block.

the factory pistons and rods hold 12-13 psi nicely, i know from experience....15psi and over and good bye....
This motor is a perfect N/A build for higher rpms or for a mild turbo setup

I personally guarantee the motor to run with no issues with a 60 warranty as long as its used for regular driving aplication.

From which turbo? I bet a GT2860RS at 12psi would blow it up nicely.

Oh, I can think of at least a dozen turbos that will blow that up at 12lbs.

This guy is a good seller. I bought a car from him and know him from the FL drifting scene. He has been working on and building Miatas for several years now, when he says guarantee he means it, he has an Engineering degree and does this as a business. Also notice the price is obo.

Good Luck Ryan and you old daily is completely transformed now, coils, wheels, rollbar, and most important of all 5 speed swap.

I'm wrapping up an engineering degree (second degree)...and I'll tell you every day of the week that manifold pressure doesn't blow motors...peak cylinder pressure does, whether from knock, or a high volume flow rate turbo at what is otherwise a "reasonable" output pressure.

I trust the seller, but terminology is important.

If this motor had rods it would be on it's way to Texas already.

I'm interested...but for the way it's built I'd find myself close to dangerously high torque levels way too fast.

Its not like he stated this a built 500hp motor either. Had he added rods the price would probably directly reflect that. Not sure why I feel like I'm having to defend myself or him. He's basically offering a nicely rebuilt motor for much cheaper than the average person could have done.

thanks ^^^^
yeah sorry guys this will go on ebay soon so hopefully someone will get a nicely built motor
the 15 psi i ran on my stock motor was with a gt2560r and the motor never blew

althought shortly after a few events I pulled it apart and built it completely just to guarantee that i wasnt going to blow the motor, since then I now run 17 psi on carillo h beam rods and they havent given me an issue

I'll take the head if you'd ever decide to sell it in that fashion
