I should probably add that this is compatible with the standard BEGi long manifold, not the tubular S4. I'm guessing it would work with the FM manifold as well since turbo placement is the same.

This is still in my garage. Taunting me.
I also have the 3071R that I used with this downpipe that has a V banded housing. The shaft bent in the turbo and the rotating assembly doesn't move at all. Not sure if it is salvageable for someone to use in conjunction with this downpipe?

I'm not getting how this bolts up to an internally gated turbo. That looks like a 38 mm external wastegate flange to me. Have any better pics of it bolted to the turbo? I'm kinda interested but can't figure out of it'll work or not. Also what year car was this for? Will it fit my 03?
You are also correct that this downpipe is meant to work with an external 38mm wastegate. So, you would need a manifold like this: BEGi Miata Exhaust Manifold 1990-2005. External Wastegate BEGi
I'll look for some better pictures of the DP attached to the turbo. I still have both, so I can just bolt them together off the car to give you a better idea of how they fit together.

This is a fantastic deal Nick. I would venture to say that it isn't the price that is the problem, it is the additional investment needed to complete this setup. You would need at minimum a manifold like you listed above. If you are not selling the manifold WITH the downpipe (and possibly even an ebay wastegate) I will have to say I think you will have difficulty with your sale.
My advice is to hold onto it if you can't get $225 or more for it. Just keep listing it and eventually someone with a manifold will show up and you will all be happy(ish).
If I had a manifold for external wastegate I would be on this in a heartbeat.

Thanks man - I think you are right; this would require someone to have a somewhat specific setup to be able to use it. Still, I'd love to save someone some money that is planning on building a V banded setup with an external wastegate.
