99-00 Megasquirt 2 Standalone & LC-1 (no gauge)
I am selling my MS2 that's been running my car since 2010.
This is a custom built unit that was built in the standard megasquirt case which has a DB37 output, then has an adapter harness that the factory wiring plugs into. There are 2 additional wires. 1 is for WBO2, and 1 is for EBC.
This unit has everything necessary to run a 99-00 miata with stock sensors, minus MAF. I don't have A/C, but I'd think that would just be an idle adjustment issue. It controls VICS, Alternator, Idle...you name it.
The unit comes with an LC-1 controller and sensor as a package deal. Will I seperate? Sure, as long as I know both items are going to sell.
What will you need to do to your car to install this unit?
Well...the unit needs to be mounted somehow out of the way...I have it currently zip-tied to my steering column/ stock ecu, and have never had any issues with it this way.
You will need to unplug your MAF and ditch it. (no more inlet restriction).
You will need to purchase a GM IAT sensor and cut off the pigtail on the stock sensor/ splice or preferably solder in the new sensor.
You will need to run a vacuum line to the unit.
You will need to download tuner studio and create a project/ target the firmware.
If you buy it with the LC-1, you will need to wire up the LC-1 using the diagram I provide.
Due to the fact that this is a 4 year old home built unit, there is no warranty. There is also no tech support beyond questions about you plugging this into your car. I also will not help you with tuning. No offense, but I just don't have the time. I could help you out a little bit and answer a few questions, but don't expect me to tune it for you and all that jazz. Besides, this should be pretty much ready to roll.
If this ran my car so well, why am I selling it?
Because I put 400 miles on my car since 2012. The motor is shot. I have other plans for it, and different routes I'm wanting to go.
Did you have any issues at all with it?
The only issue I EVER had was it idled a bit high, like 1,100-1300 RPM sometimes. This never bothered me enough to try to tune it out though.
I am asking $500 for the package, shipped. It will also come with any innovate LC1 stuff I have ( except for the gauge), any info I have about the MS, and also the firmware. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to plug your 99-00 car into this and turn the key and drive it.
Please ask me any questions you have about this unit as I have answers about it since like 2008.
Lastly, this unit is still in my car and running it...serious inquiries will be the only reason I will be removing it.

So the map that comes on this MS is a stock map, or what mods did the car have?

It's tuned for a SR20 (2554) turbo running 7psi on stock injectors. I once had rx7 460cc injectors in it, all I changed was the required fuel and tuned the fuel map a little bit, but I didn't touch the spark. I made 225whp/ 207wtq.
In other words, the .msq that's on it is setup for a turbo setup, running no MAF, but running stock injectors/ stock coils.
