I mounted my 2.5 gallon tank in the center of the trunk using “I” bolts on each side of the tank, and a small ratchet strap to secure it.

Is the 4 qt (1 gallon) tank just not big enough for track use? Mounting that would be far easier.

3gph nozzle, in boost 75% of the time, means a 1 gallon tank is empty in 30 minutes.

So nobody here has a clean mounting solution?

I made up a bracket for mine, but it wasn't strong enough when the tanks full, so i just used some ratchet straps.

I had an install thread. It should still be here somewhere. I basically got some angle bar at the Lowes spare metal section. The kind with slots cut in it. I cut 2 foot long sections and used self tapping screws to hold them down to the car. I mounted it on the right side of the spare tire well. Beside the battery. I put them parallel, front to back of the car, with the space btw them being the width of my tank. I then used 2 huge worm clamps on either end of the tank and tightened it down with a drill. It wouldn't budge a mm. Super secure. The only thing I could see that you specifically should look into is a tank with baffles.

I am not sure this will fit width wide as I cant find the dimensions but I think you could find a way to mount this. The spec C tank is popular with STI owners running meth

what are your dimensions savington? There is alot of room behind the battery going to the passenger compartment. or if it is shallow enough put it into the indention of the stock trun for a semi flat laod floor.

Dimensions are 7 3/4" x 12 3/4" x 7 3/4".

My fitting is located on the slanted section near the bottom of the tank, with that fitting aimed at the back of the car (figured I'd be under acceleration when the water is on so I want the water sloshing towards it).

2.5 Gallon Tank DevilsOwn Injection...

For others who may be considering this tank, it is available from US Plastic for under $25. Cap sold separately, make sure you add one to the cart. Credit goes to Y8S for this info. For your convenience their full selection of small multi-purpose tanks and caps can be found here

For mounting I purchased a tie down/eye-bolt set from Harbor Freight on sale for $8. Sorry, no pics. I haven't installed my tank yet, but the mounting position will be similar to Joe's

I paid $35 shipped from US Plastics. Same exact tank, though.

It's not a great picture, but this is the set-up that FM did for me. Tank is about 2 liters and sits just to the right of the jack storage area (jack is long gone and a compressor/inflatant kit has taken its place).

It's not ideal as I can't run it too low without the fluid sloshing away from the pick-up under acceleration, but the Hydramist mapping only uses the right amount of methanol mix that's needed, so a tank lasts quite a while, even when lapping.

Also which nozzles did you/FM use? I'd really like to know as I have the exact same setup minus the stroker.

Used the larger 2 of the 3 that come with the Hydramist. Mounted them at the IC outlet.
