water takes more pressure out of the combustion charge due to its high latent heat. However, it does not supercool the intake charge like meth or alcohol do; but if injected pre-turbo it tends to make compression isothermal. The spinning blades tend to atomize water very well. No one has reported compressor wear using a quality nozzle.
