Another post where Magna badmouths FMIC's while he sports a ratfucked engine bay!

The 1/4in cap went in nice and smoothly. I used some of that teflon glue plus used a metric fuckton of silicone sealant on the outside to insure there is no vacuum/boost leaks.
The nozzle was a little harder. Since the walls of the tap are pretty thin, the threads didn't hold together too well. I installed everything to realize that I forgot the filter for the nozzle. DOH' #6403. The nozzle also has the teflon glue on the threads and more silicone sealant on the outside just in case.
I am going to let everything dry for an hour or so. This better not leak or I will have to kill a puppy or something.![eek!](https://www.miataturbo.net/images/smilies/eek4.gif)
Anyways about the $1 float switch. I am sure you can find it cheaper. Maybe a buck is an exaggeration, but you get what I mean. I am sure the Chinese company that makes them charges a lot less.
I don't blame DO for making money.
OK, will update the 1-3 people looking at this disaster in a bit. :gay:

***UPDATE***
Good news: The nozzle and cap are in and the car is running 100% WI leak free!
BAD news: found 2 coolant leaks. There is a puddle of coolant chilling on the top of the radiator. Perhaps the top tank has a leak? The second is behind the engine. I can see by the bell-housing that its all wet.
At least the WI is 100%.

Ok time for some (shitty) pictures of my install. I know its nothing fancy and isn't really worth showing off. I am just throwing it up here so others can have an idea what to expect. The wiring and such still needs to be cleaned up and I plan on getting a piece of plywood cut to fit to cover the pump so my trunk is still (semi) useful.
As you can sill this is ugly as all hell. I plan on respraying my pipes later and I will deal with how crap it looks. I am just happy its leak free.![](https://www.miataturbo.net/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Here is where I mounted the relay. The fuse is zip-tied where the rest of the fuses.

Here is the trunk shot. I know zip-ties isn't the best, but it holds pretty good. The tank isn't going anywhere.

I put some heater hose over the metal tank mounting brackets. I think its a good idea to prevent it from rubbing and slowing cutting into the tank.

I drove up some twisty roads to see how it performed and it worked great. No leaks, no knocking, and power did seem better. It did consume almost a gallon of washer fluid. To guys thinking that the washer bottle will work for them for track days or anything outside of drag forget it! Get a tank, even if you gotta buy the DO one. I would of drained my washer-bottle half way to Santa Cruz!
Here is what I' am doing about the radiator.

EDIT: I wonder how much HP my setup is making, I guess when no more coolant is pissing out I might just dyno and see.

Also I found another brand of gas line antifreeze. The brand/product is Coastal gas line antifreeze. Its 99 cents. I cant find chemical sheet for it but I am pretty sure its 100% methanol.

Jesus, just refreshed the page and then all most spit food everywhere! Nice thread rename.
Lets just agree on this:
FMIC = good thing.
WI = good thing too.
FMIC+WI= Sexy TIME!
I have seen a while back IC's with the GReddy turbo dropped the intake temps by 100F! This will let the WI do its job even better. I will have to say that even with a FMIC+ WI 3gph nozzle EGT's are still pretty damn high! I wish I had a gauge installed to monitor EGT's because I dont like to see my manifold and turbo glow bright red. The road I drive often is Highway 9. Its curvy and uphill. All 2nd and 3rd gear pulling.
I think with that extra retarded cap I will just explain that I used to run a 100 shot but don't feel like "cheating" anymore. :gay:
