Yeah you need to read up alittle. Heres a link to a build using the same blower, actually he tried to use 2 blowers. millenia S supercharger on a miata - MX-5 Miata Forum . Search for the user "PatsMX5" he is an engineering student and a fabricator and he too ditched the big blower build and switched to a turbo setup.

Hey dude, the setup I had was an old sebring blower with a built 1.7 motor. It dynoed at around 168-170whp. It was definately not a slouch. Since I decided to restore my car I switched to a external wastegate turbo setup to give some more power lol, alot more actually.

But yeah, superchargers are soooooo much fun! If they made a S/C kit for 1.6's that could get me to around 280whp I would ditch the turbo in a heartbeat and go back. I jsut got so used to throttle response and linear torque curve.

If your friend has a blower for sale make sure that it is a complete kit unless you have absuletly fantastic fabrication skills and can make your own brackets, tensioners etc.

Hey man, saw you were from Tulsa. Hadn't noticed before. I think you and ILoveOffRamps are the only two other guys from around here. Hustler I think is in OKC sometimes. Anyway nice to know there are some other local guys on the forum.
