Won't follow target boost duty DIYPNP CL ebc
I'm trying to run CL boost control with a MAC solenoid. I know it is working because I can hear it in open loop. I make a target boost table and change the values from 165-190kpa and no luck.
Lowering P gets me to spike, but it will never hold. It always reverts back to wastegate pressure. Changing I and D definitely have an effect on the boost, so I know it is changing something. Wastegate is holding. I hit boost cut many times
No matter what I make my target it always reverts back to wastegate pressure.
I can get it to spool to the wastegate pressure 300 rpms faster, but it wont rise beyond that. It's like its stuck trying to target 160kpa.

If lowering P makes it spike but wont hold to redline, did you then add I to hold to redline, and then lower P to get the target back up once you added I, and then a touch more I until it held better again, and then less P, and more I, and less P, and more I until you were happy, and adding a little D in there to keep things smooth?

Made a dumb mistake, I realized I had it connected wrong. 0% was wastegate boost and 100% was closed wastegate. I now routed the lines on the solenoid in the correct orientation, so 0% is closed wastegate and 100% is wastegate boost.
I only tried it in "basic" with the slider since I only had the 15 minute drive to work. Still didn't work. I will give it a go in "advanced" at lunch time. Thanks for the input

I thought I read a post made by the programmer stating what was correct. I did have a suspicion that I am incorrect. I can only add P, adding any I or D makes it overshoot and be unstable.
Another weird thing is that even with just tuning with P, the boost is incredibly stable. +-5 kpa all the way
