VE Analyze showing different results after every analysis
Playing around last night. I wanted to see what VE Analyze in MegaLogViewer would shift around in my VE table so I run it off a log I did yesterday afternoon. So I click on analyze and it does it's thing. Max cell change was about 12. I think that's a lot but it's a fresh VE table and I'm a noob so what do I know. I run analyze again. The max cell change is less. If you keep doing it the cell changes go to almost nothing. So my question is ... If VE Analyze is analyzing the same data from the same log and tune why does it change every time you run it? I could understand some minor differences in each analysis but why does it continually shrink the cell change size and how do you know what changes to use? Do you just use the initial changes and move on?

I have read your post like 3 times now and still have no idea what exactly the issue is or what you're asking. Assuming all settings are set up for it to do it's job properly and your car doesn't have issues, VE autotune takes your target and end result afr's in various parts of the map, compares them, and adds/subtracts the difference in VE. The closer your end result is to your target, the less it will adjust.
it works very well for what it is. doesn't mean it will completely tune your car, but it will help tremendously.

When I run AE Analyze (not live/autotune) in MegaLogViewer it makes the changes in my VE table. The max cell change is 12. If I run it again the cell changes are smaller. If you keep running it the cell changes become so small it's almost no change. My question is why is the analysis not consistent and why does it change every time I run VE Anaylyze?
Yes, that much at least I do know.

When you run VE Analysis in MLV, you upload the .msq so it loads the current VE and AFR map. Are you using the original .msq every time and you're getting different results, or are you uploading the new updated map and iterating?

Ok. Ya, I'm a noob. I searched around for the answer before I posted but didn't find anything and I am not only learning tuning, I am also learning the software. I assumed that it would keep giving me the same results based on the log/tune. I appreciate your time.

if you hit analyze again, it's going to apply the exact same change to the table a second time.

I know exactly what you're talking about OP and it is weird how the software does that. Each time you hit analyze it does start with your original tune and reruns the analysis. It's not like its pulling/adding fuel every time you run it, so it's "-5, -5, -5, -5" until you have no fuel. The adjustment gets smaller with each subsequent run, as if you're increasing the difficulty. The change that it makes is based on your original map each time you run it.
If I need to adjust something in the filters or difficulty after I run the VE analysis I just close out the analysis window, reload the original tune, and run the analysis again.
