basically, you need to install it ,then open it up and hit new project. name the project and power up your MS unit, then say retrieve firmware. save the project and pick the settings it prompts for for the o2 and crap. then you need to copy your .inc files into the new directory it creates in your my docs folder and you're done. its pretty much the same, its a lot easier to use.

Thanks man!
I'll try it. |

I should have mentioned this earlier - I already had Megatune installed when I loaded Tuner Studio. :sad2: Yesterday I opened an existing MSQ into Tuner Studio and it seems to work fine so I'm wondering if I need to retrieve firm ware and all that and risk me doing something wrong ( ? ) Thanks and Happy New Year !!! :naughty: |
It seemed to work fine when I hammered a square peg into a round hole....
Why do you have to question everything? Do it right: create a new project, load the correct firmware, and copy over your inc files. It's not that hard. |
I (think) did it with the lap top connected to the ECU...
What was I supposed to choose for a KPA/MAP sensor or scale ? I rushed and now I'm wondering if I did it wrong.... TS runs much better than MT in my lap top. |
well...what map sensor do you have? is it a MSPNP9093 or 94-97?
|
PnP 90-93

Great guide. This should remind me to read more in detail.

I'm getting an offline after I hit detect. I'm trying to figure it out right now.

Mine does the same thing, but for some reason still runs fine when I use one of the mspnp-extra.ini files instead...you might want to try that. |

How do you guys use the accelerator wizard in Tuner Studio ?
What do you look for as far as the plot on the botom of the screen? Thanks |
Ego tuning PID settings
I'm putting this question here becasue the other tunerstudio ve live was getting off topic and a lot of it was my fault.
Matt from diy gave me this info. Proportional - More correction the further away the AFR is from the target. Integral - More correction the more time it's been away from the AFR target. Derivative - Higher numbers cause it to slow down its correction the faster the AFR is changing. The settings can be seen in our DIYPNP base maps - they're all MS2/Extra based. What is everyone using for their ego settings? Matt said they usually use simple instead of PID. Next on the list. Has anyone successfully setup closed loop idle? I'm going to try the recommended settings from the MS3 extra documentation |
Trying to change everything from volts to a/f's....any idea?

Which INI files? Yes, I'm using the aem analog wb...
|
|
Well I got it to read in a/fs but now I'm getting error messages when loaded the project, saying that the msq is in volts and the project is in a/fs.
|
I had that too. Try reloading your old MSQ into the project with the values in AFR. If that doesn't work read your MSQ from the MS in the car and save it.
|
Well for some reason it won't let me automatically detect the file and pull it out of the ms itself. Is there any real negative recourse for having it tell you of the units mismatch each time you load your msq?
