Default Using GM MAF sensor?

Megasquirt seems pretty flexible, is there any reason we couldn't use a typical GM MAF sensor as long as we had the MAF tables?

None apparently, you just need to make sure that the MAF you have outputs 0-5V (or use a voltage divider if Vmax>5V).

Why would you want to use MAF over MAP? Especialy when you can retune the MAP?

The hotwire MAF is more precise?

It seems to me at WOT a MAP is going to be fixed value. A MAF will actually tell the ecm someting about what is actually happening.

At WOT is not the intake pressure allways going to be near atmosphere no matter what the rpm?

I should think a MAF should be able to correct the fuel curve better.

At WOT the MAP signal is constantly varying. it's not a flatline as you're suggesting, there are fluctuations in the signal.

The MS supports dual pressure sensors so you can calculate for altitude on the fly. The diffrence really doesn't do alot unless you like to run on the edge. I which ccase a WB02 would fix that issue.
