used Monitor_v2.891.abs.s19 code and having controller code not match problem
hey guys im new to this mega squirt thing. i got the unassembled kit and started assembling it. im up to the step half way thru were you load the firmware. according to the megamanual the Monitor_v2.891.abs.s19 code is the newest code for the MS-II. So i used that it completely wrote and verified but when i open mega tune i get this error" controller code version does not match signature in Megasquirt-II.ini.
Expected : "MSII REV 2.50000 " (found in ini file)
Recieved : "0x51" (from controller)
Ive searched and talked to a few people and still cant come up with any thing. does anyone have a specific way to fix this? in lemans terms too please im new and dont know all the terms. Thank you i hope someone can help me im stumped
- Thanks guys, Jon

Your tuning software needs the same code as the CPU.
Copy the .ini from the location you have save the firmware to megatunes folder. (This is all in the manual BTW...)
Or better yet, don't use MegaTune, install and use tunerstudio instead.

What? It's the .ini included with the firmware.
Whatever has been flashed to your ECU needs to be in the same folder as your MegaTune project.
OR Use tunerstudio and point it at your firmware when you create a project.

as per the manual "If you have changed code version (or loaded code for the first time), you may need to change the INI file to match the new code. These are located in the MegaTune225/mtCfg/ folder for MegaTune. The files have names like "megasquirt-II.ini.2.0", where 2.0 indicates the code it is to be used with. Start up the MT Configurator (mtCfg.exe), which opens automatically during the installation process (it can be opened directly from the MegaTune folder or the start menu at any later time). Open the MegaTune2.25 tree item, and you'll see a number of megasquirt-II.ini.N.N files. Click on the one that matches the version of embedded code you are running to highlight the .ini file and execute File -> Activate. This will rename it to be "megasquirt-II.ini" (deleting the existing megasquirt-II.ini file first). It will then be used by the tuning software when it starts up. "
