Tuner studio glitch...
90 Miata recently rebuilt with forged pistons, and rods 1.6 long nose crank, Flyin Miata turbo kit MS3 PNP PRO, 36-2 trigger wheel, 1055 injectors. ~600miles, doing final checks before dyn appointment everything seemed to be good. In the process of the final test drive data logging the drive no auto tune initiated my tuner studio software starts to freeze, and eventually locks up. I reboot the pc, and when it comes back online the AF goes increasingly lean. I limp home take the pc inside to review the logs.everything looks good until the reboot, after that AF becomes erratic. I assumed the O2 may have failed, replaced and the engine runs normal until the engine reaches about 150deg, and the AF becomes erratic again and then pegs lean. I’m assuming since everything was running well until the tuner studio app locked up, that it is a corruption problem but I can seem to clear it. I have tried creating a new project and reloading and earlier tune before the event but the condition remains.
any suggestions would be welcome

I have attached the tune I was running when that the Tuner Studio environment locked up. The logs of during and after are linked below.

This is a VE table made while on crack cocaine. A complete and total clusterfuck.
As for tunerstudio changing and ******* things up, I don't see it. If I open both logs and use megalog viewer to plot RPMxMAP and PW, both logs show about the same output pulsewidth. Both run about the same VE.
Your tune suuuuuuucks.

Understood, yes I’m no tuner, and the map is understandable rough from a few auto tune sessions. The intention was just to get it drivable to get to the tuner so he could make things right. But I do want the tuner to spend his time doing just that, not fixing other issues. This lean condition after the engine warms up happened only after Tuner Studio tried to perform an upgrade while logging, and locked up. When I rebooted the system now I have this lean condition when the engine comes up to temperature. Even at idle the engine runs fine with AF running as expected until the engine warms up and the AF slowly becomes erratic and pegs lean. I don’t see any significant PW increase in response to the AF pegging lean since the issue started.
It can’t be a coincidence that something system went south, at the same time Tuner Studio became unresponsive, and I will continue to troubleshoot. Just thought I would ask the more experienced.
thx for reviewing it.

Well,
Issue addressed, the tuner Studio upgrade that occurred during a logging session wiped my Map, and Baro calibration data leaving the ECU to believe it was tuning for a very high altitude condition forcing the auto tune to make radical corrections to my VE table. That also explains why the AF mixture from a cold engine appeared to be near normal due to the warmup enrichment table.
The TAC group for MS confirms that sensor calibration is often lost during upgrades so be aware.
thx
